Cenotaphes of Gaitore ( Royal Memorials / Chhatri of Maharaja & Maharanis of Jaipur)

Gaitore is about 16 km far away from Jaipur, it is a historical place, well known for the cenotaphs or chhatris of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The cenotaphs of the Maharanis of Jaipur are located on Amber Road, nearby Jal Mahal, a lake palace, which was the summer resort of the regal Rajput family.

The cenotaph of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, which is made up of white marble, is the best tourist place of Jaipur. The Cenotaph is ornamented with carved peacocks. Jal Mahal, built by Sawai Madho Singh is also a very scenic place situated next to the cenotaphs. Kanak Vrindavan a complex of gardens and temples, is seen from the centre of the Man Sagar lake.  Kanak Vrindavan is a famous for picnic and film shooting.
